EVOLUTION OF PAY MATRICES: A JOURNEY THROUGH 8TH CPC

The Eighth Central Pay Commission (CPC) implemented a significant revolution in the way government salaries are structured. Prior to the 8th CPC, pay matrices existed on a relatively static framework, causing limited avenues for salary progression. The new pay matrix introduced a more adaptable system. It integrated various allowances and incremen
